Our History
 

Early and Sons was originally founded in 1987 in El Dorado County, California, when Don Early established Early & Sons Construction, a construction company while simultaneously welcoming his second son into the world. The company quickly built a reputation for excellence as a licensed General Contractor in California and later expanded to Hawaii. For many years, the business thrived constructing custom homes and light commercial projects, with Don eventually adding Electrical and Plumbing Contractor licenses to his qualifications. This diversification allowed his crews to remain busy even during economic downturns, as they could manage almost all trades required for residential construction.

After a successful first chapter building custom homes and commercial projects, Don transitioned to Project Management for large projects, where he spent the second half of his career. As Senior Project Engineer for the largest construction and engineering firm worldwide he was part of a national construction team that built projects from Hawaii to Georgia, including Resort Hotels, State Capitols Restorations, Hartsfield-Jackson International Terminal, Concourse F in Atlanta, Georgia, and finally the construction of a Mayo Clinic Cancer Treatment Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. During this period, he welcomed two more sons to his family, who are now young adults.

In 2024, Don revitalized Early and Sons as a professional Home Services business in Tampa Bay, Florida. This new chapter serves dual purposes: passing valuable trade skills to his younger sons while providing the community with the kind of reliable, skilled Home Services that seem increasingly rare in today's world.

My mission now is not only to share these skills with my sons but also to offer homeowners and property managers professional Home Services they can count on—services that are fairly priced, reliable, and delivered with professional integrity."
